On June 27th, the RM of Moose Creek No.33 held their annual ratepayers golf tournament at Moose Creek Golf course. A barbeque lunch, sponsored by the RM of Moose Creek No. 33 was held at 12:30pm at the Moose Creek Clubhouse.

 

Fifty-four golfers made their way out on the golf course for 9 holes of golf at 2:00pm. Prizes for all of the games played were all sponsored by the municipality. The Bring Back your Ball challenge, where each golfer was given a ball with their name on it to “use and not lose” for their entire game, was played. The prize was a $50 Southern Pains Coop gift card and was won by Kim Dietze. On hole #3 golfers who hit their ball into the water were entered into a prize draw for a $50 Chopper K Steakhouse gift card and was won by Terry Rutten. Hole #4 was the longest drive for men and women. The winners were Pius Loustel and Jackie Henderson. Pius won himself a $50 Davis Meats gift card and Jackie won herself a $50 Emerald Spa gift card. Jackie Henderson also won the annual closest to the moose contest on hole #5. She won a load of gravel delivered. Hole #8 for longest putt was won by Reed Gibson. His prize was a $50 Moose Creek Golf Club gift card.

 

Numerous door prizes were donated by various businesses and all of the golfers’ names were put in for the draws. Door prize sponsors and winners were:
